Burn The Floor – All Day Every Day

Okay, can you spare me a moment to geek out? I was thrilled to have these guys here. Burn The Floor was epic long before Dancing with the Stars hit the scene. I got to see them live in Biloxi, at the Beau Rivage, back in the day. So, when I showed Peta Roby my Burn the Floor DVD, she AUTOGRAPHED it right above the photo of her big dip on the cover. Whenever someone called, I was like, “Gotta go! I want to talk to Nic!” They are the real deal, and I am a real–ahem–fanboy. If you were around the studio that week, you had to restrain me from running into the other room to watch.

 

Dancing With The Stars Pros used to Burn The Floor

If you have seen Dancing With The Stars but, have never seen a Burn The Floor show, you have been missing out!  Just to give you an idea of the caliber of dancing, see if you recognize any of the following names:

Yes, all these DWTS pros were once with Burn The Floor!  Dancing with other professions, not amateur celebrities with a few weeks of training.  Performing outside the constraints of competition rules, with no Carrie Ann to say “you can’t do lifts in that dance”,  FREE!  Free to burn the floor!

Future Superstars of Dance from Burn The Floor

So, I guess for non-dancers, it would be kind of like having Cirque du Soleil practicing in your living room.  Of course, this is a brand new, up-and-coming team of talented young dancers. Maybe the future superstars of the dance world will come from the group below.

Can you blame me for wanting to catch every moment of it???  They were so incredibly nice about it, too.  They didn’t seem to mind me standing around slack-jawed staring in awe, taking pictures, letting students peek in on their rehearsals.  Also, they were eager to pose for pictures, sign autographs, and answer questions when there was time for it.
