Dance is one language we all can speak. It is a transforming experience that unites people all over the world
Join us for the Fun at our Monthly Ballroom Dance Parties!
One Saturday night each month we host a dance parties for everyone interested in dance. This includes dance students, guests and the general public as well. Everyone is welcome; even if you don’t dance, you can listen to the music and socialize. You will have the opportunity to dance with variety of partners as well as the instructors in a nightclub setting.
We play a mix of ballroom, Latin, swing, and country music. We even have live music Soft drinks and snacks are provided and we have wonderful people to dance with.
The cost of our ballroom dance parties is just $20.00 per person.
WHY DANCE?
Dance has a magical combination of elements: body, action, space, time, and energy. It can be a way to stay fit for people of all ages and a great way to socialize and incorporate the love of dance in your community. It has health benefits from increasing stamina, weight control, and stronger bones & muscles to emotional benefits such as improved relaxation and reduced stress levels. We feel that dance brings people together and provides them with a sense of community with people that have the same interests and passion. Dance allows people to be more active, socialize, and develop creative and physical skills.
OUR MISSION IS…
Mississippi Dance Foundation, Inc. is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to promote the art of dance within the state of Mississippi by providing opportunities for Mississippians to participate in social dances, instructive dance lessons, and competitive dances. All funds or proceeds received by the organization are used exclusively for that purpose and are fully tax deductible.
